About API

The GetResponse integration operates as an OpenCart plugin.

You’ll need to import your existing OpenCart customers using the procedure below. Thereafter, each new OpenCart customer is added to the GetResponse campaign of your choice automatically.

And don’t worry about duplicate contacts. The system checks for duplicates and updates existing contacts.

Once the plug-in is installed, you’ll be able to create email marketing campaigns to learn more about the preferences and buying habits of your ecommerce customers. This will enable you to serve them better and enhance your reputation as an online store.

Note: Imported contacts receive a confirmation email and must click the link inside the email to be added to your GetResponse email marketing list.

 

Using API

Download the zipped plugin file and follow the installation outline below:

 

1. Copy content of this archive to OpenCart top level (php cURL is required).

 

 

 

 

2. In the menu of the administration panel, go to the Extensions >> Modules settings screen.

 

 

 

 

3. Click the Edit button in the GetResponse row and paste your GetResponse API key (copy your secret API key from here) then choose a campaign for new OpenCart contacts to receive.

 

 

 

 

4. Click the Export to campaign button to export your OpenCart customers and import them to the GetResponse campaign you designated.

 

5. Save your API key and selected campaign for future exports.

 

You may import up to 10,000 contacts per day. If your database us larger than that, repeat the process on subsequent days until finished. After the first export/import, you will be able to click the Export to campaign button, and the next contacts will be added to your campaign.
